ASIC chairman demands ASX consult more on CHESS

ASIC chairman Joe Longo says the ASX board needs to act urgently to restore confidence in its ability to deliver a new settlement and clearing system for the equity market.

The nation’s top corporate regulator also says ASX must be more consultative and open to new ideas from market participants outside the exchange if it is to regain the trust of its stakeholders.
