ANDREA MARANI APPOINTED CEO OF FINCLEAR ECS

FinClear Group COO steps up to run the Execution & Clearing Services, as FinClear continues to grow

Sydney, 9 March – FinClear, Australia’s leading independent technology and infrastructure provider for financial market access; execution, clearing and settlement services, is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrea Marani as CEO of its Execution and Clearing Services, effective 1 March 2023.

FinClear founder David Ferrall will remain Group CEO and MD. After strong and continuing growth, and the recent launch of unlisted securities platform FCX, the business continues its expansion with several active roles currently open, and internal appointments to support sustainable future growth, including Dan Bower appointed to Chief Product Officer.

David said the appointments were an exciting step preparing for the next phase of the business. “FinClear’s great strength is our people – we have an incredible team that have built our success and are changing Australia’s financial infrastructure.

Since 2015, FinClear has swelled to 200 employees across three States, with 25% growth since the beginning of 2022.”

Andrea has over 20 years global experience in financial services, including 6 years as COO then CEO and MD of OpenMarkets Australia where he built the company from a startup to a top 15 ASX Market Participant.
Andrea has held senior management and executive positions at a variety of leading financial institutions including Shaw & Partners, Wilson HTM, Global Trader, Rabobank, Bankers Trust, JP Morgan and Investec and has worked in Europe and Africa.

Andrea has a BCompt majoring in Accounting and Auditing from University of South Africa.

FinClear continues to build out its platform capabilities, most recently represented by its burgeoning FCX platform – a global first that demonstrates FinClear’s ability to continually innovate.
