At FinClear, technology and progress are in our DNA. We are an independent, Australian owned and developed technology and financial services business, specializing in providing trading, execution, clearing and technology solutions to wholesale intermediaries, FinTech’s, wealth managers and financial planners.

Our Financial Markets infrastructure could be likened to other major global platforms that deal with massive amounts of data and huge volumes of transactions that are executed in real time to a vast audience. But unlike others, we own our own regulatory and technology infrastructure enabling us to partner closely and move quickly to build solutions that are fit for purpose to better assist our clients.

FinClear was established in 2015 with offices now in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. We’ve almost tripled in size the last 12 months and have further plans to grow with more platforms and services in the pipeline to be released. About the role 

At FinClear the Systems Engineer key purpose is to ensure the organisation has the relevant Hardware, Software Applications/ Systems and related infrastructure in place running efficiently to maximise our people’s potential.

We have a number of ongoing projects and BAU related work where we require help from someone skilled in :

• RHEL – Red Hat Enterprise Linux and
• Juniper

This role will see you work alongside 3 other Senior Systems Engineers that is part of a larger cross-functional Technology team of 16. Your efforts will help free up other members to stand up other exciting and critical projects to fuel us for future success.

Skills or experience in the following areas would helpful:

• Amazon Linux, RHEL, Solaris and Windows
• Network Configuration, Analysis and Management
• Working with Juniper SRX Firewall and Pulse Secure devices
• Leveraging AWS offerings – API/ IAM/ VPC/ RDS/ EC2/ Direct Connect
• Shell Scripts
• Jira & Confluence
• Oracle & Postgres Database Administration
• Hashicorp suite – Terraform/ Vault/ Nomad/ Console/ Packer
